Lower heat to low and sprinkle flour over the cooked sausage. Mix the flour into the sausage and heat on low until flour is cooked (about 5 to 10 minutes). Add half of the milk and increase heat to medium. Stir constantly until the gravy starts to thicken. Add the remainder of the milk and continue to stir until reaching your desired thickness.
