Ed Willes joins Paul Chapman for an episode of Province Sports Radio that tackles the FIFA fiasco that rode into town this week.
The BC government wouldn’t commit to the deal of Vancouver hosting World Cup games in 2026, then FIFA pulled them from the bid. Yet again the city and province were polarized but the bottom line is it’s a shame that Vancouver, with a rich history of hosting world class sporting events that benefit both the organizers and the citizens as a whole, couldn’t get this deal done and the lads talk about that.
Then they dig into the Canucks, three games without a goal, what does that say about this team that appears to be going backwards rather than forwards despite having nothing to sell but hope and promise.
And the pod finishes with a blockbuster question, is Brock Boeser usurping Bo Horvat as the successor to Henrik Sedin as the next Canucks captain?
