This Year & Beyond

Taking the week off, but cant wait to hear more stories of service in 2018!

What can I even say about this one... Kristen and I co-crew lead an energy & water conservation crew three years ago and never looked back. We've traveled to Colombia together, we've decimated the competition at bar trivia, and generally enjoyed one another's company. Now for the first time on record I hear all about Kristen's City Year days. Enjoy!

What to know the difference between being a City Year Corpsmember vs. NCCC Corpsmember?  Want to know what a recruiter looks for in a City Year Corpsmembers? Well this is the episode for you! This week I chat with Rod Swain about his service experience as an AmeriCorps Unit Support Team leader and City Year recruiter in Columbus OH.

I was fortunate enough to get to know Randi while she was a Corpsmember in Denver. We rode  bikes. enjoyed refreshing Denver craft beers and I halfheartedly watched a lot of Wisconsin sports. Unfortunately, this left little time to chat about #AmeriCorps. So it was great learning more about the amazing work she was able to do on her road to medical school.  Enjoy!

Sit back, relax and get ready for a great episode. This week I talk with an AmeriCorps Alum who served back in the early days on the first NCCC team to serve in Hawaii. Enjoy!

The podcast as made it to 10 episodes WOO!  And to celebrate I have an old NCCC friend on the show to share his AmeriCorps experience and how one project put him on the path to getting a PhD in School Psychology.
