THOMASVILLE — The Thomasville Arts Council brought the classic musical “Grease” to life last weekend with multiple performances at the Thomasville Civic Center. The production, which ran from April 24-27, is known for its memorable songs, energetic dance numbers and nostalgic 1950s setting. “Grease” follows the story of Danny Zuko and Sandy Dumbrowski as they navigate romance, friendships and high school life at Rydell High. I t is common for congregations to administer opinion surveys occasionally, but I have seen mixed results. Baptist denominational officials report that congregations using surveys while searching for a new pastor often discover members want a 35-year-old with a seminary degree. He is educated, not too old, not too young but just right. A retired minister once told me about his displeasure with a new young pastor. “He won’t wear a suit, and he won’t use a pulpit,” he fumed.
