A suspicious goblin king. A bedtime story that may not be a bedtime story at all. A Night Market advertisement with the deeply alarming sales pitch “BABIES! Buy 2Get 1 FREE!”

This week, Pooky finally starts asking the right questions, Snooker begins spinning a tale older and stranger than anyone expected, and Weewee quietly suggests the most dangerous possibility of all: maybe Daz and Pooky aren’t hearing random stories.

Maybe they’re being told their own.

Snooker reveals the beginning of a Night Market story involving babies, bargains, old friends, and suspiciously enchanted advertising

Dinner has been eaten. Bellies have been filled. The brownies are ready to resume their tale — which means Daz and Pooky are about to hear about a mysterious old woman in the woods, a cottage that appears from nowhere, a dream that may not be only a dream, and a secret hot enough to vanish beneath the skin.

But while Snooker spins the story of Alta and Bubby Vama, Biscuit hears something outside.

And when Biscuit barks, darlings, the neighborhood listens.

🎧 Those D*mn Brownies — Season 1, Episode 2: Chapter 2: A Story for Breakfast, A Secret for Supper A bedtime story begins, a breakfast feast becomes diplomacy, and two tiny guests prove that good manners are sometimes just excellent camouflage.

In this episode, Snooker begins a tale about a frightened young woman, a bottomless canyon, and the legendary Bubby Vama — but the night is late, the hosts are sleepy, and the brownies may be paying closer attention than anyone realizes. By morning, there are biscuits, chai, pepper gravy, sausage offerings for Biscuit, and one very important question left hanging in the air:

What exactly are Snooker and Weewee waiting for?

And why does the backyard contain rumors of a Goblin King in the blackberry brambles?

On a cold new-moon night, Biscuit, a clever little dog, follows her nose into the backyard shadows and discovers exactly the sort of trouble respectable people pretend they do not have living in their shrubbery.

Two foul-mouthed brownies, one sunflower seed bucket, one terrifyingly ancient brother, and a promise of stories later… dinner is served, vows are made, and absolutely no one is prepared for what comes out of Snooker’s mouth next.
