Collectors Corner episode 5 is here and this week we are talking about A History of Violence from director David Cronenberg. Two out of the three dudes had seen this movie once before so we decided to give it a rewatch, and since the other dude had never seen it we needed his opinion as well. This week on Collectors Corner we took a look at the Criterion Blu-Ray release of Stanley Kubrick's Paths of Glory. Two out of the three dudes hadn't seen this film before so it was a perfect excuse to sit back and watch Kirk Douglass and his chin navigate the trenches of WWI and the bullshit politics that can sometimes come with war. This week the Boyz watch three new release films starting with the HBO Max original movie The Little Things featuring 3 Oscar winning actors. Next we went for a more easy going tale with Naomi Watts staring in the true story that follows an Australian family brought together by a Magpie amidst a tragedy in Penguin Bloom. Finally what goes around comes around as the Boyz give Justin Timberlake a chance to impress in a film where he plays an ex convict that finds himself forming an unlikely relationship with a young boy having troubles at home in the Apple TV+ original film, Palmer. 

This weeks films were: The Little Things (HBO Max), Penguin Bloom (Netflix) and Palmer (Apple TV+).

This week is full of some films that may very well take over the Oscars this upcoming award season. Jonathan and Spencer were busy watching 3 films that covered as variety of topics.

First we followed a Civil War Veteran played by the always handsome, Tom Hanks as he travels through a dangerous landscape to deliver a young girl to her family and also looks for a place they can both call home along the way. Then we decide that Saturdays are truly for the Boyz as Carey Mulligan seeks vengeance on the men that had wronged her in the past. Finally we become a fly on the wall during a fictitious representation of a meeting between Muhammad Ali, Sam Cooke, Jim Brown and Malcolm X as they spend one night together discussing their roles in the civil rights movement. 

This weeks films were: News of the World (VOD), Promising Young Woman (VOD) and One Night in Miami (Amazon Prime Video).
