In every city, there are streets you never find yourself returning to by chance. They don't appear in tourist guides, digital maps omit their names unless you search for them persistently, and those who live nearby speak of them with a mixture of resignation and superstition. In Lugo, a city of walls and persistent rain, there is one such street: Calle dos Eidos. Narrow, cobblestone, with no shops or traffic, it looks like a corner frozen in time. And yet, behind one of its facades lies what the residents—the oldest, the most discreet—call "the murmuring house."
