"Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand." A righteous man's stumble is not the fall of the apostate preacher cast down before God's own eyes — it is a sin confessed, and a Father who lifts His child by the hand. But a man can turn away from God, and the end of the wicked is to be cut off, consumed away into smoke.
