It's been nearly 3 years since COVID came into the World...

And man! Has it over stayed it's unwelcome visit.

In this time Millions have been ill, Millions have died, and Millions have survived the initial infection, only to discover that COVID can leave behind it's insidious, and more devastating, relative called Long COVID.

I found something I wrote on 9/11/2022 ...

I have no memory of writing it.

I know it must have taken me hours to write.

I know I must have been in the depths of despair on that day, but nothing about that specific day stands out as a reason...

Because no reason is needed, other than, this is my life.

Day to day, sometimes hour to hour or minute to minute, I force myself to acknowledge/accept/adapt to my reality in that moment, to deal with and live in, the present.

Every day I try to stay in the present...

Depression is living in the past, anxiety is living in the future, peace is living in the present.

It may not be a peace that brings joy and contentment, but rather a peace that I am, that we are, doing the best we can in that time and place.

And understanding, accepting, that our best, no matter how meager it may seem, is always enough❤️
