How do you “get” wisdom”? What do you do when there’s no specific guidance on a decision. Today we look at an integrated approach to wisdom.

You develop a strategy because you’re being intentional – as a believer, how do we build a strategy for our personal, business & spiritual lives? In this “Thought”, we talk about characteristics of “Adaptive Leaders” and how that can shape a business & spiritual ‘strategy.’

Proverbs 16:9 : “a man’s heart plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps”

According to Wikipedia, “The best defense is a good offense” is an adage that has been applied to many fields of endeavor, including games and military combat. It is also known as the strategic offensive principle of war. Generally, the idea is that proactivity (a strong offensive action) instead of a passive attitude will preoccupy the opposition and ultimately hinder its ability to mount an opposing counterattack, leading to a strategic advantage. Offense is also a mindset.”

Being on offense means knowing what you stand for, being equipped, holding fast to what you know, and sharing the good news.

1 Corinthians 15:1-4 ESV – Now I would remind you, brothers, of the gospel I preached to you, which you received, in which you stand, and by which you are being saved, if you hold fast to the word I preached to you—unless you believed in vain. For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures,

Being on defense can mean different things from a business and biblical perspective, but it’s especially interesting when the two intersect.  How do we to a better job at both?

Philippians 1:7 So it is right that I should feel as I do about all of you, for you have a special place in my heart. You share with me the special favor of God, both in my imprisonment and in defending and confirming the truth of the Good News.

Mindset is so important in life and also requires constant work!  Romans 12:2 says “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”  Today we dive in to what we can do to keep our mindset positive.

Philippians 4:8–9: “Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.”

New Year is upon us and it’s the season for making plans, resolutions and evaluating things.  As believers, how do we balance effective strategic planning with committing our plans to the Lord – what’s the right balance? Today, we dive in with some practical thoughts “on planning.”

Christmas time is here and it’s the season for giving!  But what does that mean?  Is giving just about gifts, or is it more than that?   How can we as believers act differently this season and encourage others from an eternal mindset.  “He came for us, we go for Him”.
