It'd been a while since we last recorded, so we were slightly nervous. The break happened because Elly and I were busy moving, but also, because Evan and I were a little unsatisfied with episode seven. Key word: little. We weren't stressing much, but just enough. We felt we needed to make some changes. This time around, we prepared some topics and questions. The goal is to make these conversations interesting rather than hoping, naturally, they are. In the future, we plan on going even more in that direction. However, since I love the mundane, catch-up, personal material, it won't go away completely. In the end, we want our grandchildren to hear about our day-to-day. Anyway, in this one, we talk a lot about the universe's mysteries, life on earth (in all forms), and career stuff.

It'd been two and a half weeks since our last call, but only a week and a half since our last hang. It'd be impossible for us NOT to discuss the Kanye West stuff. The song- the video, the presidential "walk".  The game. Also, parapsychology, and ADHD. This one's foggy. I don't really remember what else we talked about. COVID-19.

"Nacation" means vacation. I talk a lot about it- Elly and I's road trip out west.  We visited my sister Katie in Washington, then Holub, Shelbi, and Sara in San Francisco.  With that, comes coffee conversation. Coffee goes to tea, and tea could be gardened, Evan supposes. I think this one's got a unique charm to it.

We decided to split this call into 2 episodes since it went so long, and differed so much between the first half and second half. This half, the second half, gets into spiritual beliefs, sort of like our religion, but mostly just wondering out loud how life works. What is the formula to this existence we experience? We agree there's a lot of power in listening to your gut, and discuss ways in which we can improve doing such a thing. How could one get better at paying attention to their instincts?

Elly and I are contemplating a spontaneous trip out west, and the various forms of transportation in which we'd prefer. Evan says he's always imagining a trip of some sort. We discuss the scenarios, and then dive into the protests. I've been attending most of the Iowa City ones, and he visited one up in Minneapolis.

Ev and I realized our episodes tend to follow a consistent pattern: we start with our most recent happenings, eventually, we go off on a tangent- really using our brains, then, we wind down with a mirage of smaller conversations. This one is no different. We discuss our memorial day weekend, analyze the differences between Spotify and Netflix, then the mirage part. 

We go a lot of different places in this episode. I talk more about the new camera, and Evan relates with his motorcycle. After that, I think, we dissect the greatness of R.A.P. Ferreira's latest project, Purple Moonlight Pages- even though we still refer to him as his prior identity, Milo. I think we've touched on this in a different episode, but we emphasize our admiration for letting the project control itself. Letting the day unfold without deciding how it should go. 

Elly and I have officially decided where we'll be living next year, and Evan made it through finals week. Lots of other stuff, but those are the big things. I bought that new camera, and Evan got his dream book.

Pat's been digitizing old VHS tapes, and Ev's been playing his new PS4. We talk a lot about Timmy Shea's Facebook post "Refusing to use the metric system makes you a Trump supporter." A bit about dreams, and astrology, and other camera stuff.
