Thoughts From the Threshold: A Course in Miracles Podcast

Just shine, not avoid; shine. You know the truth. The truth is, you’re free, and you answer only to God. That’s the truth. That’s your answer to anything that appears to interfere with that. I answer only to God. And in the presence of God, everyone is innocent.

No one is safe from God’s justice. You can’t hide... There is a sorting out going on in the world. That’s the big event; that’s what’s upcoming; that sorting out. And no one is immune from it. Everyone must make the decision. I would not want to go another round on what remains of this place. This is the moment. This is the time. This is the week where we magnify that determination. Where is the darkness when the light has come?

I am oneself united with my creator; that’s consciousness itself, unbroken. The way of the heart is essentially the way of oneself. When the heart opens, there is oneself—no difference, no opposition. This is what we are shooting for. No one is guilty in the presence of God.

Be prepared to flash out, because it is a flashing out. And you do have to submit to it; it is not going to happen without your will. But it is going to happen the instant your will is unequivocal. That is no difference. No one is guilty in the presence of God.

Time will come and did, when you let it all go, the good and the bad, the nightmare and the happy dream. Then you can begin to laugh at the world, then you can begin to see the dynamic. It’s responding to the thoughts in my awareness. That’s why it’s up to me to take a stand, no compromise, I will not allow a thought that I’m going to then suffer. 

“Now” is always gone. You’re waiting for something to verify "now", but it never does because you never find it. You can’t find it by looking for it. You can find it by stepping out of time. It is a process. It is an ordeal, and it requires all the nobility of your undivided goal. And then the now becomes obvious because it is given the instant you are done with time.

The fastest path to resolution is simply keeping the channel of communication open. If the channel is always open, then the problem is always solved, because it is not solved by anything that you do; it’s solved by the communication of love. How do you keep the channel open? By not closing it, it’s already open; just don’t shut it down.

The Happy dream is an effect, not a cause; and it’s an effect of not anything that you do; It’s an effect of your willingness to be guided, to learn, to take the next step according to God’s will.

Today we look at the only remaining obstacle to the awareness of love’s presence, as we read from the text Chapter 26: "The Remaining Task”, as well as the Lesson of the Day: "I will not use the body’s eyes today".
