  • Cancel Culture is destroying us: Here's why (Adolescence Netflix show breakdown)

Went down a rabbit hole with cancel culture and honestly, it left me questioning everything. After diving into the Netflix show Adolescence and reflecting on the mob mentality. I explore how we’re quick to cancel people instead of addressing the root causes of the problem, and discuss how sometimes, we focus more on exposing the abuser than solving the issue at hand. It’s important to recognize that the problem isn’t always the person, but the behavior—and the way we address it matters.

Please note, I do touch on sensitive topics such as abuse in this episode.

If you or someone you know is experiencing abuse or in need of support, please reach out to the following Australian helplines:

    Lifeline at 13 11 14 or 1800 RESPECT at 1800 737 732 for confidential support and guidance.

  • How do Christmas stores make money all year round?

I went to Mount Tamborine for a day trip and left questioning a lot. I found a Christmas store there, which felt so out of place. It made me think - how do Christmas stores make money all year round? Another great discovery was the mini collectible items for sale. Why do we collect items? Anyways, I think I am going to start collecting Wedgwood pottery.

Lately, I’ve been addicted to Instagram reels. Everything in life feels temporary, overstimulating, and kind of… curated. In this episode, I overthink social media, dopamine, escapism, and why we don’t just experience things anymore.
