I just looooove L.O.V.E♡ In this exciting new episode, I have my friends CJ and Sasha Serojane, who are full-time missionaries in Malawi! They share their love story, on how they met, and on how they just knew that they were meant to be together. Although, they have had their own fair share of facing storms in their marriage, I love their Wisdom and perspective on how Christ is their solid foundation in their marriage, which makes it more worth it to be married.

Being Married young, there was definitely some shocks they encountered in their first year of marriage,  (household roles in the marriage, Cultural differences, and language), they share all of that! I love how wise they are, how fun and hardworking they are.

My friend Moné shares so intensely in this episode that; in order to enjoy interracial friendships we need to surrender our sight in exchange for God's sight. When we begin to see people as God sees them, we are left with nothing but the height to enjoy his mysteries carried in different people. God created Color, God sees color,  God embraces color and so should we.

Does God have anything to say about my blackness/ whiteness? Yes He does. He made all of that.

"But the Lord said to Samuel, “Don’t judge by his appearance or height, for I have rejected him. The Lord doesn’t see things the way you see them. People judge by outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”

When the Europeans imported their legal systems into Africa, the indigenous people had already been following their own normative systems for several centuries. There was ancient ways that African people followed  in certain areas of their lives, including LOBOLA. But the result of the western legal standards that were infused to interpret customary law impacted Africa negatively.

The effect of this dilemma  resulted in the formulation of African principles in ways that exacerbated patriachy and in turn, affected the legal status of Black Women in Society. Today on the podcast I discuss the effects of an "Unfinished Lobola in a customary marriage & it's impacts on the rights of Black women!" I discuss the opinions surrounding lobola in modern days and what Lobola initially meant in Ancient times.

I briefly make mention the initiation of marriage as per Genesis 2:18 in comparison.to what marriage looks like now in african cultures. I commend and embrace the beauty of healthy culture & cultural practices.

This is a broad topic on so many levels, and entails a lot that still needs to be discussed on different platforms. What this episode is not;  is an extensive discussion. I believe in discussing  & simplifying such topics in bits on a podcast/to the public and engaging the opinions of people.

My friend and Sister Felicity shares some of her intimate parts of her life story in this Podcast. Along the way she made a lot of mistakes as a result of her tainted identity that was shaped by years of abuse. She shares some of these mistakes, how she learned from them and how she inspires women around her, including myself,  to know that "You are Not your mistakes, but you are who God says you are!" Felicity speaks to the abused, to the backsliders, to the afraid, to the doubting, and to all who are still stuck in their mistakes.

Felicity powerfully exhorts to us that, before we become anyone's Bride, we must remember that We are Christ Bride. Completely Loved, Completely known, and Completely destined for great things!
