"True friendship is humbling, because it reveals our weaknesses...but we need to trust God with our hearts."- Moné Nel
My friend Moné shares so intensely in this episode that; in order to enjoy interracial friendships we need to surrender our sight in exchange for God's sight. When we begin to see people as God sees them, we are left with nothing but the height to enjoy his mysteries carried in different people. God created Color, God sees color, God embraces color and so should we.
Does God have anything to say about my blackness/ whiteness? Yes He does. He made all of that.
"But the Lord said to Samuel, “Don’t judge by his appearance or height, for I have rejected him. The Lord doesn’t see things the way you see them. People judge by outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”
1 Samuel 16:7
I hope you enjoy this episode. And please send feedback. Both Monè and I want to hear your experiences. We pray that where you have been hurt, God will come and heal and comfort. We pray that you will not stop pursuing relationships with people that do not look or sound like you. We pray that you will be bold and courageous in loving people.
