As of the writing of these notes, the race to world first stands with Liquid in first place, Echo in second, and Method in third, all of whom are 7/9 and working toward Tindral. The race started out with the "heavy hitter" guilds continually running splits to get raiders geared, and in that time some unknowns launched in. The first guild to kill a mythic boss this time around was blue shoe, who took out mythic Gnarlroot. However, I don't think anybody expected that to stay the case, as once they did enter mythic, these big three really shot forward.

Personally, though my heart says to root for Liquid (since they are NA), I can't help but find myself pulling for Echo from an integrity standpoint. Liquid had much more of its players participate in exploits to try to gain an edge whereas Echo only had 2 engage in it. Method had zero, and though that (combined with Cruella just being plain hot, let's be real) WOULD make me want to see them take it, Method has a...tricky history where integrity is concerned. I'd like to think that the problematic individuals being gone (as far as we know, anyway) has left the organization in a better place, stains remain. Though I'd be happy to see any of these 3 teams win, all for different reasons.
