New York Times author Tyler Kepner shook up the city of Baltimore and Orioles fans recently when he wrote "A Great Team, an Ambitious Plan and an ‘Existential’ Issue" about how John Angelos wants wants to reimagine the way Baltimore approaches the business of baseball. Kepner wasn't surprised with the reaction but wants people to realize that Angelos' vision of the Orioles and a new ballpark might not coincide with fans' desires to keep all the young talent currently on the roster.
Reeta Hubbard joined Jason La Canfora, Ken Weinman, and Tim Barbalace to discuss expectations for the Baltimore Ravens this season. She feels like this team is "ready for an AFC Championship run" and that brings with it "pressure to make it farther in the playoffs." That said, Hubbard believes the Ravens should be top-10 units on offense and defense.
Hubbard also goes over some of the Ravens' undrafted rookies fighting for roster spots, but says there aren't too many open spots up for grabs.
Cynthia Frelund, of NFL Network, joined Jason La Canfora, Ken Weinman, and Tim Barbalace and discussed the Buffalo Bills, New York Jets, Pittsburgh Steelers, and the Detroit Lions. She also gave the guys one team that should overachieve based on Vegas win totals.
When it came to what Frelund saw with the Baltimore Ravens, she believes Zay Flowers will absolutely fit into this Ravens offense. She also shared what Flowers does better than most young receivers that projects well for him.
She's excited to watch the combination of Odell Beckham Jr., Todd Monken, and Lamar Jackson and Frelund shares why OBJ will be a difference-maker like he was with the Rams before he got hurt.
