It's been a sad few weeks for me, as a number of my favourite things have come to an end. I thought it was bad enough when 'Fags, Mags & Bags' ended, but then came the hammer-blow: Hungry Lucy was no more. One of my favourite bands from my time as a podcaster, the band came into my life towards the end of 2005. less than 3 months after the birth of Three From Leith. They've been around ever since, and become virtual friends who I'd one day hoped to see playing live, but it was destined never to be, for Lucy's finally 'had her tea'. In celebration of the band's short life, this week's podcast is a little tribute featuring some of my favourite tracks from the past 8 years.

I should never make promises about when I'm next going to record a podcast. Doing so seems to tempt fate and throw many obstacles in my path! Well, it already seems like I've never been away – and weeks since I came back, then met a musical hero of mine at his Fringe show on my first Friday back, then had Jasna stay for an extra Friday night on my second week back. Where has the time gone? It's now getting dark by 8.30pm and is still dark when I get up to cycle to work! Winter is coming....
