Hindsight is indeed 20/20.  Looking back I can see so many times God was instrumental in helping me find my way.  So many times I see clearly now where God paved the way for me and my family.
Hearing Tommy Short for years ask me if I knew or had met his brother who too was in the Navy, and the answer was always; "no I've never met your brother."  Well that all changed in January 1991.  Lots or irony when getting settled in aboard the USS Theodore Roosevelt.  From meeting Mike Baker the Ship's Command Master Chief, to meeting Tommy's brother Bill Short for the second time in less than three hours.  And the first time he really pissed me off.
Things (God) has a way of working things out, and Laura and I owe a forever debt of gratitude to Bill Short and his family for taking us in.
