The book of Deuteronomy is all about rewinding and reminding us of what's already happened. Moses will take these chapters to recall all that God has done for the people of God to this point.

God takes care of the people who take care of the people of God.

The people complain over and over about the same things. It seems we always find something to complain about when things don't go exactly how we map them out.

When we don't like the way things are going it's easy to jump to deny someone's leadership or to walk away altogether. But is that the best way to handle things?

When the Israelites spied out the land they were headed to invade, some didn't like what they saw because fear set in. What does fear cause you to do?

When we disobey anyone there is a consequence. When we disobey God the consequences are often more than we realize. God desires that we trust and obey. When we do, we'll realize just how much protection and provision he's already given us.

When we follow God's promises, we'll find blessing in unusual places. If we disobey his commands we'll notice that things go off the rails quickly.

The bible and especially the book of Leviticus is full of rules, boundaries and apparent restrictions. But I'd guess these restrictions aren't there for the reason we think.

God provides a way for his people to be saved. In the old testament that happened through regular sacrifices by the people. In the new testament, a new way came and his name was Jesus.

When we dive into Leviticus, we find a lot of rules, regulations, rituals and all the things God put in place to help his people understand how life operates best in the world..
