Jesus uses a sacred jar for a different purpose showing that we too can be used for something bigger than we realize.

Peter reminds us as members of churches today that we have a responsibility to not sit on the sideline or take what the church gives without participating and getting involved in the life and ministry of what the church is doing.

Peter reminds us that loving one another will go a long way toward fixing the problems we see in our world, community and homes.

Peter reminds us that grace isn't what we deserve or what we can afford but what we receive regardless of our condition. Nothing can change the gracious way God sees you.

Peter reminds us that as believers in Jesus, we are living temples where God is glorified just by the way we live our lives. Our words, actions and even thoughts are to give God glory and honor in all we do.

Peter writes to encourage those scattered around the world that they might find hope and comfort in knowing that God is with them even though they are sent all around the world.

John's third letter is all about finding joy in some kind of interesting places. John explains how he finds joy in these different circumstances.

John's second letter is written to someone called the "elect lady" but who in the world is that? And what is the message that this "lady" needs to hear?

John completes his letter by showing us the purpose of the commands of God. They aren't to burden us, rather to show us the way we should go. Likewise the teachings of the Bible are designed to point us who Jesus is - real God and real man.
