Three & One

Common courtesy with property and with reputations, a clean congregation and a clean campsite, a list of laws touching almost every area of life and money; a wonderful servant, a terrible master and an abominable god.

Further review of the cities of refuge, laws concerning witnesses, principles of warfare, laws concerning unsolved murders and the parables of the lost sheep, the lost coin and the lost son.

Fellowship Feasts reviewed, justice at a local level, what to look for in the character of a king, the priests portion, avoiding abominations, the prophecy of a coming Prophet, and Jesus teaches on the priority of people over process.

Rejecting temptation to follow other gods, being separate and obedient in what we eat, in what we give to God, in what we give or restore to others, in the offering of ourselves to the Lord to willingly become His slave and Jesus tackles some tough questions concerning suffering.

The Law and love, loving obedience is life and strength under the Old Covenant, a prescribed place of worship to worship the One true God, and Jesus teaches His disciples to live in the light storing up treasures in heaven without worrying about tomorrow ready for His return.

A chosen people, chosen to be set apart through faith-filled obedience, faith that is fueled by God’s past faithfulness not by our own self-righteousness, a model prayer a friend comes at midnight asking, seeking, knocking, a unclean spirit returns highlighting the importance of being healed and sealed by The Holy Spirit.

Moses makes sure this generation understands the importance of sharing these truths with their children, reviewing the 10 commandments, reviewing the greatest commandment, reinforcing once again the importance of teaching this to our children and Jesus sends out the seventy to serve.

A review of Israel’s rebellion, a review of Israel’s wandering in the wilderness, a review of the faithfulness of the Lord and the unfaithfulness of the leaders including Moses and Jesus continues to teach the disciples about the cost of discipleship.

The boundaries of blessing, leaders appointed to divvy up the land, cites for the levites to live in, cities of refuge, laws of inheritance for female heirs, women caring for those in ministry, a young girl and an older woman healed miraculously, graciously, by Jesus.

Equal opportunities for the enemies of Israel, some tribes settling for second best, the Exodus from Egypt up to this point summarized and reviewed and Jesus miraculously heals and miraculously forgives.
