So God tells in Bhagavad Gita that everything in the universe goes through three stages from new to medium to old. Whether it is a physical matter or not these three stages happen in all the living or non entities. For example a child becomes a boy then a young man then an adult then an old man and finally leaves the body. Similarly a seed germinates to a plant, a plant to a bush or tree and so on. Or a house from a new house to an old house and then to ruins. God explains- When the object is at its newest time it is at its peak and that time is called the Satto stage of existence when everything is pure and absolute in perfection.
