Whoa, are the wise guys really back?

The guys jump back with “a slightly delayed” episode 2 of the soft launch… featuring a familiar guest: Nick Lorraine.

In this spirited conversation, we kicked it off talking about conferences. People attend them, drivers in your city hate them, and we’re generally pretty confused about why people attend them. Hear what the guys have to say about conferences and dive into some networking tips from our sales all stars (aka everyone besides Luke).

With two resident sales professionals, The wise guys couldn't resist the urge to jump to Nick's lengthy sales career. From selling lemonade on his family farm, selling phone plans at Bell, to running his own sales team - Nick is not a rookie by any means. After leaving for milk 10 months ago, the guys are finally back. 

In this first episode back we introduce Davin, honorary fourth wise guy and a dear friend (and now producer of the podcast). 

The guys dive into what we did during our 10 months away. Fun fact, the guys went portaging shortly after our last episode - and Dolapo didn’t know how to swim, From Arya’s various travel stories, to Dolapo being scared at his first NFL game, this time skip is loaded to say the least.

Then we jump to an important topic for all Torontonians → BBL Drake v.s 5ft Kendrik who won and was it fair? Rap beefs are always interesting as there isn’t an actual rubric for who won. If there was a rubric for this beef, would # of times the “P” word was say be a line item? 

Wrapping up the episode, the guys get serious and discuss change. Change is the only way things get better or worse - but it's not always easy for us to contend with them. The guys get deep on how we contend with the various changes in this past year.

The same principles of over stimulation and lack of realness apply, but the impact can be more detrimental. 

Lastly, what's more important, preventing a worst case scenario or preparing for one? While both have their merits, Dolapo believes that long analogies are the best way to go to explain this scenario.

Welcome to another episode of the Three Wise Guys Podcast, today we talk about choices and kids (separately btw).

Picture this, you’re on a date with an absolutely gorgeous individual. Funny, kind, and a great as...personality, ahem* The catch? They have a kid. Is it possible to date without the kid getting involved? How would you even approach getting to know a kid? Does this situation become different with age? How would you navigate this situation? The three wise guys have some opinions to say the least. 

After that long tangent, the three wise guys go deep on choices and are overwhelmed. Is the root of Gen Z’s misery too many options? Luke shares a story about his father’s youth, how he’d wait months to eat a shitty pastry. Yet, we feel disappointed when we order the “wrong donut” from krispy kreme (I KNEW I SHOULD HAVE GOTTEN THE GLAZED). Making the “right” choice becomes that much trickier when there’s so many options.
