The first Threepcast episode of 2017 is here! In this episode, the Ridgways return to the world of Zero Escape to play the second game in the trilogy – Virtue’s Last Reward. We compare the game extensively to its predecessor (Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors), we discuss the effectiveness of the game’s new mechanics, and we spend a lot of time trying to untangle the rather complicated time travel that this game throws at you.
Next time, we will be reviewing Minecraft: Story Mode.

On this special Threepcast minisode, the Ridgways dive into the world of fangames to cover the most infamous pop culture-laden “de-make” of Monkey Island 2… it’s none other than M:I-2; LeChuck’s Revenge! Within this minisode, we wax nostalgic about early 2000s Internet and the old Klik & Play fangame scene, we re-evaluate this fangame and discuss how well it’s aged, and last (but certainly not least), we interview the game’s creator Christopher Ushko (via text) to talk about his inspiration for the game and what it was like to make.

It’s time for our annual spooktastic Halloween episode of Threepcast! This year, the spooks skew towards the surreal and sarcastic as we review the cartoon adventure Tony Tough and the Night of Roasted Moths, a game all about a man and his missing dog (or was it a tapir?)
Next month, we return to the world of twisted social experiments and play the second in the Zero Escape series – Virtue’s Last Reward.

Threepcast begins its October celebration of spooky games with a minisode for the horror point-and-click trilogy that’s all about dreams, body snatchers, clown posters, and the art of dodging giant worms. That’s right – we’re going into a Deep Sleep with this minisode.

The Threepcast gang checks into Hotel Dusk: Room 215 to solve puzzles, interrogate people, and examine every single toilet in the hotel. Featuring special guest host Peter Stockwell!
Next time, we begin our annual podcast celebration of Halloween with two planned spooktastic episodes – a Deep Sleep trilogy minisode, and a full-length venture into the world of Tony Tough and the Night of Roasted Moths.

After a summer hiatus, everyone’s favorite adventure game podcast is back to review The Curse of Monkey Island, third in the legendary Monkey Island series. Elliott, Anton, and Phil dive deep into discussing the game’s development history, abandoned puzzles and cutscenes that didn’t make it to the final game, and the game’s mysterious connection to Monkey Island 2. Also, did we mention we really like this game? Basically nothing wrong with this game here mateys.
Next time, the Threepcasters will check into Hotel Dusk: Room 215.

In this episode of Threepcast, your hosts the Ridgways venture back to the dawn of adventure gaming to play the landmark text adventure game – Zork I: The Great Underground Empire. Discussion includes the history of Zork, how it influenced later games, and whether the game is still palatable for modern gamers. But don’t listen to this podcast in the dark – you are likely to be eaten by a grue.
Next time, we journey back to Monkey Island for a third time to review The Curse of Monkey Island.

This minisode of Threepcast covers the brand-new, long-awaited Day of the Tentacle Remastered! Elliott, Anton and Alex go into (somewhat) excruciating detail about version differences, and we discuss the pros / cons of the game’s artwork, music, remastered voices, interface, and bonus features.
In this episode, your Threepcast hosts the Ridgways are joined by Jeff Benson to discuss Spaceship Warlock, the obscure 1991 interactive movie about space, piracy, and everything in between! We also formally announce our very own indie adventure game, The Idiot’s Tale! We also pursue many interesting rabbit trail discussions involving Shrek, Mother 3, Robert Altman, Better Call Saul, and Darth Vader wiki facts (some of these actually tie into Spaceship Warlock!) Next time, we’ll be reviewing the landmark text adventure game Zork.

On this episode of Threepcast, we finally get around to reviewing Strong Bad’s Cool Game for Attractive People! Do these Telltale episodes capture the thoroughly surreal Homestar Runner universe? Can we determine which episode is the best? Will we stay focused and prevent the podcast from descending into a Strong Bad quote-a-thon? Listen and find out! Next time, we review the 1991 CD-ROM probably-ahead-of-its-time adventure game classic Spaceship Warlock!
