Once a West African village boy makes it big in the city, he decides to bring change to his home town. By the 1970’s, few places on earth remained untouched by modernity. Kimendo Road is the story of one of the last of those places - a lightly fictionalized version of Togo, West Africa. Traditional practices persisted for millennia in the village of Lama. Then, in a single decade, these hard-hewn customs were up-ended in a locust-storm of change.
