Thrill Me Podcast

In part 2 of our 100th episode, we critique the return of Jason Voorhees as we discuss the Friday the 13th remake.

We kick off part 1 of our 100th episode spectacular with the 2010 remake of A Nightmare on Elm Street.

Happy Easter from the Thrill Me podcast crew. Before we release our 100th episode spectacular, enjoy our first ever mix tape as we discuss some classic songs from horror and action films.

Where to begin - 4 directors, Stallone in a suit and glasses, Kurt Russell's top class mullet, a rat sniffing villain with a ridiculous plan, the biggest chin in movie history, plea bargaining a murder charge down to 18 months in prison, Tripod & Peewee, an exciting prison break, Kurt in drag, an armoured 4WD, a macho high five and classic 80's cock rock - We try our best to explain 1989's Tango & Cash. Also, blockbuster films that have allegedly been ghost directed.

WTF week begins with a trip to Texas to ask a few questions about the 1994 head scratcher Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Next Generation starring future Oscar winners Matthew McConaughey and Renee Zellweger. And somebody dishes out our lowest rating ever!

Its a double shot of ape films this week as we take a good hard look at 2011's Rise of the Planet of the Apes and 2014's Dawn of the Planet of the Apes.

This week, sometimes dead is better as we dig into the 1989 Stephen King adaption, Pet Sematary.

We round out the Nick Cage action era with the 2000 remake of Gone in 60 Seconds. Gibbo is nostalgic. Adam is fuming and Jared is somewhere in between. And an olympic style review of Cage's career makes us reassess a few things (Apologies for the sound quality. Microphone problems again).

With Gibbo unavailable again, Adam and Jared indulge themselves with cult 80's slasher, The Prowler. And as a discussion topic, movies ripe for a remake.

Adam and Jared found a pot of gold when reviewing the cheesy 90's horror film Leprechaun. Unfortunately the pot smells funny, and the gold pieces are a bit on the brown side. Also, stars who got their start in horror.
