In part four of this series, Take the Land, Pastor Josiah reveals that Caleb made a declaration, “Give me this mountain,” in turn being determined, he declared, I will have what God has promised me. The journey from promise to promise land was not easy, but Caleb held on to God’s promise. He wasn’t moved by what the opposition was or what the challenge looked like. We too can have a spirit of Caleb.

In part three of this series “Take the Land”, Pastor Josiah points out that Achan made the promise land about himself, and because of that didn’t get to go further into what God had for him. When stepping into the promised land - our Achan pride can come up. If we make the promises of God about ourselves, we too will only go so far into what He has for us.

In Part one of this series, “Take The Land” Pastor Josiah explains that,  just like the Israelites, there are times when we want to go back to Egypt. It's easier than doing the work to go forward. The temptation is to go back, but in order to take the land and walk in the promises God has for you you can't go back. If it’s God’s idea, we can do it, He is the one calling you to the promised land.

In part two of this series, “The Light has Come”, Pastor Josiah speaks on how there were two accounts of people being witness to Jesus’ birth: the shepherds and the wise men. The wise men had a very different journey than the shepherds, they knew something, saw something and then acted. Because they knew, they were intentional to look. We too have to be looking; we have to start the process so we, like the wise men who took action, can get from Babylon to Bethlehem.
