What if we're spending too much of our lives waiting?
Waiting for the holiday, the promotion, the weekend, the house move, the next milestone... all while overlooking the life that's happening right in front of us.
In this episode, we're talking about why most of our lives are made up of ordinary days, and why learning to appreciate them might be one of the biggest shifts we can make. We explore how social media has made life feel more performative, why we're conditioned to chase the next big thing, and how easy it is to fall into the trap of believing happiness is always just around the corner.
We also reflect on what happens when we slow down enough to notice the small moments that make up our everyday lives. The morning coffee, the walk with the dog, the conversations around the dinner table, the quiet moments that rarely make it onto Instagram but are often the moments we'll remember most.
Because if we only allow ourselves to feel fulfilled on the big occasions, we'll spend most of our lives waiting for them.
Maybe the goal isn't to have more extraordinary moments. Maybe it's to become better at noticing the ordinary ones.
