Everything that we do now is partial. But when the perfect comes, that will all change. Who or what is the perfect? We answer that in today’s devotion.

Love never passes away. It never leaves. Everything else will pass away and cease, including prophecy, tongues and knowledge.

Four things that love does. It covers up all things in silence, it believes the best in all things. It expects the best the in all things. It endures and does not quit.

This small verse packs a big punch. Love does not rejoice or find joy in unrighteousness. Unrighteousness enslaves and destroys a person. Truth sets a person free. We should find our joy in a person's freedom and not in their slavery.

Paul lists four things that love does not do. It does not act unbecomingly. It is not provoked. Loves does not seek its own. Love does not take into account of wrongs suffered.

Love does not brag. Bragging is self centered It always wants to talk about oneself.

Love is not arrogant. Arrogance is also self centered but it is an attitude more than an action.

Paul tells us what love is. It is patient, it bears under the load of other people. It does not give up when things go wrong. Love is kind, it is benevolent to others without condition.

You can give everything to feed the poor and even become a martyr but if you do not have love you will gain nothing. Love is an attitude of your spirit. It is not an action.

If you have prophecy, know all mysteries, have all knowledge and faith and do not love each other you are nothing. It is love that makes you something in the Body of Christ.

The way of love is the more excellent way of being the Body of Christ. You can speak in tongues of men and angels and if you do not have love all you are doing is making a bunch of noise.
