Paul begins to correct the first problem that has been reported to him, the division in the church.

Paul tells the Corinthians that God is faithful His faithfulness is unconditional. He calls us into fellowship with Jesus.

The Jews wanted a sign and the Greek wanted wisdom. We preached Christ crucified! The Jews stumbled and Greeks thought it was foolishness

Consider what God has called you to. His calling doesn't depend on your wisdom, strength, or nobility It depends on Him!

The Lord will confirm and call you blameless until the end. That is a word of comfort to the Corinthians and to us.

How is the testimony of Christ revealed? It is through the gifts of the spirit. Paul says that the church at Corinth was not lacking in the gifts. He also says the gift will be there until the revelation of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Paul thanks God for the Corinthians. Once again he recognizes the grace of God that is enriching their speech and knowledge.

Even though this church was a mess, Paul still recognizes the grace of God for them. He calls them sanctified, and saints. He tells them that they a part of all those who are believers. A great word of encouragement!
