About Yvonne:

McCormack Lyons is a persistent advocate and catalyst for empowering women and changing how women are portrayed and perceived in the media.

In 2005, Yvonne founded The Women's International Film & Arts Festival (WIFF) with the mission to empower women's visions and voices; to create a safe venue for women to screen, promote and market their films; and to address issues that impact women globally while celebrating women's accomplishments.

After only two years, WIFF was awarded withThe New Times Newspaper’s Miami's Best Film Festival award. WIFF received this prestigious recognition once again in 2013.

McCormack Lyons is also the creator of the recently launched WIFF-TV, a new, online, streaming platform featuring films, television, podcasts and webinars made by women for women.

She is lalso the host of the podcast Reel Moments: With BadAss Women in Film & Entertainment, which was launched in partnership with PBS Channel 2 (WPBT-2) and UVUvideo.org and is now streaming on I-Tunes, Pandora, Amazon Music, Spotify, I-Heart Radio, and where most podcasts are found.

Yvonne is often asked to speak around the world including Cartegnia Colombia; Liverpool, England; Toronto, Canada; and throughout the US regarding women in film, women in entertainment and media, and women in business.

Through the success of the Women’s International Film Festival, McCormack-Lyons was invited to develop a women’s film component for the Cartagena, Colombia Film Festival as well as the Liverpool ’08 European Capital of Culture Celebrations in England. And in October 2013, the city of Medellin, Colombia invited Yvonne to host its first WIFF event in South America.

Throughout the years, WIFF has hosted such talents such as Academy Award Winner Halle Berry, Actress/ Producer Vivica A. Fox (Independence Day, Kill Bill, Empire), Actress/ Producer Zoe Saldana (Avatar, Colombiana, Star Trek), Actress Kellita Smith (Z Nation, Bernie Mac Show), Actress/ Director Amy Jo Johnson (Power Rangers, Flashpoint), The Breakfast Club’s Ally Sheedy, and actors such as Shemar Moore (SWAT, Criminal Minds), Bill Belamy (Self Made, Kindergarten Cop2), and others.

McCormack Lyons is a recipient of the 2012 Iconic Woman of the Year Award from Women In The Arts, The 2012 Florida Entertainment and Recording Committee, The 2010 Women In The Arts Award presented by In-Focus Magazine, and The 2009 Pearl Award from Girl Power.

Currently McCormack-Lyons serves on a number of Boards and was inducted as a Board Member of United Nations (UN) Women.

McCormack-Lyons is married to storyteller Baba Adekemi Lyons and is the proud mother of a 22-year-old student at the famous Lee Strasberg Acting School at NYU Tisch School of The Arts, Ojobayo Lyons.

Theresa believes the life of a legend is always in transition and that is precisely what she aspires to be. Through constant change and never settling, she has shifted her ambitions to addressing the gender wealth and gender investing gap and is blazing a trail to uplift womxn of colour (WoC), so we may all live the life we deserve, on our own terms.

About Kenya:

Kenya Mary-Darlene Gray has always had a passion for encouraging and uplifting others. Facing her own struggles with obesity, rejection, loss, abandonment, and low self-esteem into her late twenties, she began her transformation by losing weight through Weight Watchers International in 2005. She eventually became a leader in the company helping over one hundred individuals lose weight and get healthy in her five years with the company. Furthermore, she has 19 years of experience in social service including specializing in mental health, domestic violence training, and child development. In 2011, she started her own fitness business Purpose2Prosper Inspiration and Fitness. She expanded her business by working as a fitness coach with Team Beachbody in 2013 and still promotes their products and services. She has helped members adopt healthier lifestyles spirit, soul, and body through her work as a certified personal trainer, certified nutrition coach, certified fitness instructor, healthy lifestyle coach, and women’s fitness specialist. She provides services under her new partner company Dr. Fit Ms. Studios. She also has helped others bring their stories to life as an author coach. Kenya has been working with the nonprofit dance company ALATS Dance company providing fitness classes when the company is in session since March 2021. Kenya released her first book “Making Fit Happen for Me (My journey from hurt to wholeness) “in October 2018 and it is already impacting lives around the country. She released her second book “Miraculously Made Women’s Healthy Lifestyle Journal (Six months to a healthier you spirit, soul, and body)” in March 2020. She desires to bring her message of hope and wellness to the people in the Body of Christ and beyond. She also desires to encourage others to pursue their dreams and walk in their purpose despite past hurts, rejection, abuse, low self-esteem, and experiences of loss. Kenya has also been the senior admissions advisor at State Career College since 2015 helping students to fulfill their dreams of working in the medical field and encouraging their success in all areas of life. She is also an adjunct faculty member for adult personal enrichment programs at the College of Lake County and will begin teaching in September 2022. In addition to her full-time career and business, she launched her fourteen-year-old daughter’s business CreativelyMariyah in Jun 2019 selling Mariyah’s published books “The Adventures of the Power Twins” and “My Wacky, Crazy Year of School (Kaitlyn’s Revenge)”, specialty cookies, t-shirts, and other merchandise. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of IL at Chicago in 1996 and she graduated from Grand Canyon University with her Master of Science degree in Psychology with an emphasis in life coaching in 2019. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Performance Psychology from Grand Canyon University. She has been married to her husband Myreon for 26 years and they have four beautiful children and two grandchildren.
