When Isaiah announced to the whole world that God would be sending His Son to be a light in the darkness, Isaiah records that God gave Him the name, Wonderful Counselor. In many ways, life is just as full of anxiety and confusion today as it was in the days of Isaiah. Who among us couldn't use some really wise counsel?

When someone has an emergency in this life we don’t sit back and wait. We get help and go after the problem right away. It is no different when those around us don’t know about the eternal life that Jesus offers us NOW! It’s time to ask the Lord how He wants to move in your life for the sake of those around you.

It's the age-old question on a Friday night: Should we stay in or go out? Staying in means being comfortable and relaxed, (think PJ's and a movie on Netflix) while going out is exciting and adventurous, (like trying that octopus sushi roll for the first time). Israel had the same dilemma when God led them to the brink of the promised land when they sent in 12 spies to scope the land to tell Israel if they should stay put, or go into this new land that God had sent them into. Staying was safe, but going offered adventure, and the promises of God. We experience the same choice every day of our lives. Do we stay in where it's safe (think church life) or do we go out and join God in the world and experience the thrill of seeing His Kingdom break in "out there!"
