As empaths we are naturally caring and giving, always wanting the best for those around us, and of course we can feel when that is not the case.
We tend to leap into action doing what we can to help, and support that person to feel better, because as they feel better we feel better too.
What happens in the aftermath, is a clear indication of the health and balance of the friendship, once they are feeling back to their old self and the issue is solved, what actions do they then take?

In my client work over the past 7 years with deeply empathic women, a common barrier to healing that I have noticed is their loved ones.
As a highly sensitive and deeply empathic woman myself I too experienced this barrier to healing.
I remember when I first started on my healing journey after completing my certification as an EFT Practitioner, I noticed that my mum was showing signs of being triggered by my healing.
Anytime I would share with her events from my childhood I had used EFT Tapping to heal, she would take offence to it.
My mum wasn’t the only family member that was triggered by my healing, some of my siblings also showed signs of being triggered by me.

In this episode I talk to you about the importance of self-care for your high sensitivity.
The reason why it is so important is because of our sensitivity, because we feel everything so deeply, because we absorb the energy of other people, and we absorb the energy of our environment.
That is why our self care routine always has to be of the highest quality and highest priority, this is something I teach my private clients as part of their therapy.
Without the gift of sensitivity people can probably go a while without prioritising their self-care, although self-care should be a priority for all.
However for you with your high sensitivity that really isn’t an option, your self-care is as important as breathing.
You really want it to become second nature, something that you do naturally and know it is of the upmost importance.
