The Holy Spirit doesn't just want to do something IN you, He wants to do something THROUGH you.

[Acts 1:8] But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere--in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."

Jesus promises us POWER, but He attaches the power to a PURPOSE.

God's power was never intended to STOP with you.

[1 Corinthians 12:4, 7] There are different kinds of spiritual gifts, but the same Spirit is the source of them all. [7] A spiritual gift is given to each of us so we can help each other.

The gift may be given TO me, but it isn't only FOR me.

[1 Peter 4:10 NIV] Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God's grace in its various forms.

My gift isn't a TROPHY to display; it's GRACE to give away.

[1 Corinthians 4:7b] What do you have that God hasn't given you? And if everything you have is from God, why boast as though it were not a gift?

I don't have to BE the source, I just have to stay CONNECTED to the Source.

[1 Corinthians 12:7]  A spiritual gift is given to each of us so we can help each other.

The church isn't an AUDIENCE it's a BODY.

[1 Corinthians 12:27] All of you together are Christ's body, and each of you is a part of it.

Nobody has EVERYTHING, but everybody has SOMETHING.

[1 Corinthians 12:21] The eye can never say to the hand, "I don't need you." The head can't say to the feet, "I don't need you."

God didn't design us to be SELF-SUFFICIENT, He designed us to NEED each others.

[Acts 3:6] But Peter said, "I don't have any silver or gold for you. But I'll give you what I have. In the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, get up and walk!"

The Holy Spirit doesn't empower you to make you IMPRESSIVE; He empowers you to make a DIFFERENCE.

Deep inside there is a desire for a more ______________ life.

Sometimes we ask God for more _________________ when what we really need is more _________________.

[1 Corinthians 6:19] Don't you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself,

We RESIST the Holy Spirit when we FIGHT His direction.

[1 Thessalonians 5:19-21 ESV] Do not quench the Spirit. [20] Do not despise prophecies, [21] but test everything; hold fast what is good.

The Holy Spirit was not given just to make us more _________________.

[Ephesians 5:18] Don't be drunk with wine, because that will ruin your life. Instead, be filled with the Holy Spirit,

We can't produce the Fruit of the Spirit _________________ the Spirit.

God keeps coming _______________.

[John 1:14 NIV] The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.

Why are you persecuting me?” “Who are you, lord?” Saul asked. And the voice replied, “I am Jesus, the one you are persecuting! Now get up and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do.”

Life in the gap can be ________________, disheartening, and can feel ________________.

[Philippians 1:12-14] And I want you to know, my dear brothers and sisters, that everything that has happened to me here has helped to spread the Good News. For everyone here, including the whole palace guard, knows that I am in chains because of Christ. And because of my imprisonment, most of the believers here have gained confidence and boldly speak God’s message without fear.

[2 Corinthians 12:7b-10] Three different times I begged the Lord to take it away. Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me. That’s why I take pleasure in my weaknesses, and in the insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

[Romans 5:3-4] We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation.

[2 Corinthians 1:4] God comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us.

God uses the gap to ________________ our faith and ________________ our faith.
