THRONE OF BLOOD PODCAST

One of the best and brightest among the many many inspiring young DJs, producers, and promoters leaving their mark on NYC's storied dance music scene, our good friend Paul Raffaele from Most Excellent Unlimited is a true standout. A great DJ with a keen ear for what's next and a deep respect for what's come before, he's in it for the right reasons. And it shows in the music he releases, the gigs he helps put on, and his involvement across the dance music underground as a designer, co-conspirator, and motivator of all that is most excellent. We're honored to have this live set recorded in late 2014 at Le Bain serve as our 50th (!) edition of the Throne of Blood Podcast.

Two of Throne of Blood's oldest friends and supporters deliver one hell of a mix for our podcast series. JDH and Dave P have been throwing some of the best parties and booking incredible artists for years and years. Dave's been playing our releases on his RADio show and JDH has contributed a remix for Bohemian Groove with his production partner Chupacabras.

It's long past due that two of the best America has to offer contribute to our mix series. Listen up and get rad

Man of the moment Heretic returns to TOB with a searing podcast of brooding jams built for darkened dancefloors. It's been a while since his Eskimo Twins remix of Vosper & Bozzwell's "Music For the Lost and Dead" but time has only honed Heretic's sound. Check out his recent "44 Squadron" ep on Relish Records as well... It's a killer

Throne of Blood's first podcast from Japan comes courtesy of upstart DJ, producer, and party-thrower Kezokichi MIyazaki. Introduced to us by Throne of Blood brother and Meant Records megaboss, Remain, Kezokichi's become an instant friend and a musical compatriot. Have a listen and you'll understand why in no time at all...

NYC's Luca Venezia has been on a banger bender lately... Following his debut 12" for Throne of Blood just a couple months ago, he's dropped a 12" for our sister imprint Let's Play House and for his new Safer At Night imprint. Here he returns to sit atop the Throne with a killer mix of dancefloor techno and other delights for late nights and early mornings

A long time friend of the Throne, our main man in Copenhagen, Kasper Bjorke has been a tastemaking force as a producer and DJ for ages. We're proud to have him delivering our latest podcast mix in advance of his forthcoming remix of Hardway Bros for TOB.

Kaspers new album is coming out September 22nd on HFN Music incl. collaborations with Jaakko Eino Kalevi, Nomi Ruiz and loads more amazing artists ...more info here on the next single and album:

What started as a showcase for Throne of Blood's roster and core team has grown over the years into something much bigger than expected. Over the past three and a half years our podcast series has covered a lot of ground- musically and geographicall. They've been played hundreds of thousands of times and helped bring this little label to life.

That's why it's so exciting when folks we don't know reach out and ask to be a part of Throne of Blood. For the fortieth edition of the Throne of Blood Podcast we are proud to present this mix from the Leeds-based crew Clandestino. If this mix of balearic flavors is any indication, their forthcoming single on Is It Balearic? is one to watch out for...
