This is the last episode for 2025 of my show Through a Trauma-informed Lens: Soma, Psyche and Soul. As we come to the end of 2025, many of us are feeling tired, overwhelmed and ready to slow down. December brings us into the darkest point of the year. And yet, in our Western culture, we push harder, speed up, plan more, and override the signals that our bodies have been attuned to for thousands of years.

In this episode of Through a Trauma-Informed Lens: Soma, Psyche and Soul, I talk about a pattern so many heart-led, deeply caring practitioners experience - pushing harder in every area of life until they reach exhaustion. As we move toward the Christmas period and the end of the year, I reflect on the collective fatigue, the pressure to catch up before the holiday break, and the inner conflict that arises when we’re teaching nervous-system care to our clients while struggling to honour it ourselves.

This episode is a gentle invitation to pause, breathe, and return to your natural rhythm. I explore why “trying harder” is never the answer when we’re overwhelmed, how our conditioning pulls us into fixing and striving, and why we must honour our cyclical nature if we want sustainable growth - in our lives, our healing, and our businesses.

In today’s episode, I want to share three simple yet powerful guiding steps that I return to again and again - both in my personal journey and in my work with women practitioners.
These are the practices that help us reconnect with what truly matters when we feel overwhelmed, stuck, or uncertain on our path. So often when we’re in the process of growth or healing we question everything - our direction, our abilities, even our sanity. But what I’ve learned again and again is that this questioning is not a sign of failure - it’s a natural part of transformation.

In this episode I share with you my three steps:

• Do what you love - follow the whispers of your heart and the essence of your soul, even when you don’t yet know how it will unfold.

• Trust your inner knowing - learn to listen to the deep wisdom that lives within your body and your lived experience.

• Keep going - cultivate resilience through baby steps, daily habits, and compassionate self-trust, especially when you don't yet see the results.

In this episode of Through a Trauma-Informed Lens: Soma, Psyche & Soul, I want to offer you a somatic guide to working with inner resistance and self-sabotage - seeing them not as failures, but as protective responses from your body, psyche, and soul. When you experience resistance - that familiar inner no that stops you just as you’re about to take a step forward - it’s often your nervous system saying, “Slow down, something here doesn’t feel safe yet.”

Using my framework the Integrated Soma–Psyche–Soul Coaching Method©, I guide you through five steps to transform resistance into your most honest compass: from body awareness and befriending inner parts, to connecting with your soul’s truth and aligning with your whole self. I will show you how to understand whether your resistance is rooted in fear or misalignment, and how to move forward with more integrity, joy, and self-trust, and how resistance can become your greatest teacher - guiding you toward whole-person alignment, clarity, and deep self-leadership.
