On the week of Father’s Day, which also falls on the same week as my wife and daughter’s birthday, my fear of my kids’ growing up is magnified. As fathers, I think we can all relate to the feeling of wanting to see our kids grow up and celebrate life with them, but also not want them to grow up. How do we deal with this? What can we control? And how do we ensure that we do the best we can to prepare them for life as adults. In this episode, I will talk a little about the history of Father’s Day, our kids growing up, and what we can do ensure the most success for our kids when they ultimately grow up and start their adult lives.

If you are going to do anything that puts you in the public eye, the possibilities for greatness are endless. You will have to work hard, sacrifice much, and in the end - there is no guarantee that you will succeed. If you do succeed, there is one guarantee that you can count on. You are going to have haters. There will be at least a small number of people who will disrespect you and try to bring you down. Why is that, and how should you deal with that? In this episode, we will cover that topic.

Welcome back for season 2 of off the bearded path. You may ask yourself – where have I been, and why a new season, 6 months later. Why can we not have conversations with each other? Why is it so hard for two men to come together, regardless of their background, and talk about issues respectfully, without resorting to anger and insults? My thoughts - because media and politicians tell us we shouldn’t. Join me as I sit and chat with the man who is my second best friend in the world, after my wife of course, as we discuss things that he and I discuss almost daily. Issues facing our country in 2020 are tough and require us to come together and love each other enough to respect each other, regardless of our culture and backgrounds. Our hope is that two men like Undreed and I can set that example, and lead to a country full of people who can have the conversations we need to move forward as a people.
