In this podcast i am talking about a subject and that subject is about what technology is out there for completely blind or visually impaired people and how are we able to use it? I am going into my answer for this question and I am talking about what technology is out there and some of those services are screen readers for Apple devices such like a iPhone iPad MacBook Apple Watch and Apple iPod. As well for android devices feature called talkback such like a android phone Samsung tablet and Samsung watch. I as well talk about low vision tools such like zoom or magnifier for low vision users on the Apple devices. I as well talk about different screen readers for laptops such like a MacBook or windows and both laptops provide a screen reader for a MacBook it’s called voice over and for windows it’s narrator or JAWS and zoom for low vision people. I as well talk about different smart speakers out there for completely blind or visually impaired people as well for different gadgets and apps for us to be independent. I as well talk about how we rely on these technology/ screen readers/smart speakers/ gadgets and apps to help us either work or communicate with family and friends or going on social media.

I am going into my answer for this question and those things are 1.give directions depending on how we are faced and make sure we are familiar with the area 2. Use regular vocabulary when speaking to us 3. Don’t pet or play with a guide dog when they are in work. I am going into these reasons and I am talking about why it is important to do these things.

Explaining to people how I use my white cane and what the white cane is/does for me/ explaining to people that the white cane is not called a stick. I am going into my answer for this subject and I am talking about how completely blind or visually impaired people have social life’s and likes and dislikes as well for things that we enjoy doing such like going to party’s making new friends and building relationships going to the malls going shopping listening to music seeing a movie going out to eat and so much more. I as well talk about how it is okay to ask questions about our visual impairment but that is not the only thing to talk about. I as well go into how we are just like sited people the only difference is that we don’t have sight and all we want to do at the end of the day is fit in with the sited world and community.

I am going into my answer for this question and I am going into the obvious reasons why you should never do this and the main reasons are 1 it’s insulting and annoying to do this to a completely blind or visually impaired person. I as well am talking about if you have a bond or relationship with that completely blind or visually impaired person then it is okay to do this to them.i as well am going into when being asked this question where it is used more and that is when in a doctors office and the nurse or doctor is trying to see how much you can see and talk about how it is okay to tell them that you cannot see or that you cannot see that Well. I as well am going into if I do this to myself or not and if I am okay. With it or do I feel the same way when it’s being done.
