Sometimes Jesus teaches difficult lessons to understand. This lesson, based on Luke 16:1-13, teaches the followers of Jesus to promote the gospel message of salvation.

Based on Luke chapter 15 Jesus teaches about a lost sheep and a lost coin. The lesson is that all of heaven rejoices at those who are found.

In Luke 14:25-33 Jesus teaches about what it really costs to be his follower. Just as a wise person considers the cost before buying a car, a house, or anything else of value -- so should the disciple consider the cost before making a decision for Christ.

In Luke 13:10-17 Jesus teaches us about how he fulfilled his mission statement of three years earlier by healing a woman. He does this on a Sabbath which angers the legalistic Pharisee leader of the congregation. We learn much from this last teaching of Jesus in a synagogue before the crucifixion.

In Luke 12:49-56 Jesus tells us that he did not come to bring peace to the world. He said that he will cause division between family members and even in ourselves! We are called to make a decision today.

In Luke 11:1-13 Jesus teaches the disciples (and us) the correct form to pray. Prayer is a personal conversation with God.
