Sermon by Kenny Foster, Senior Pastor, from Psalm 51:1-12 & Romans 3:19-25a. This Sunday begins a series of sermons during the season of Lent. We are using Paul Tripp's "Journey to the Cross" as a guide as we go through the series. This Sunday we are looking at the knowledge of sin, is it a blessing or a curse? Knowing that we are sinners and how sin works within us helps us to value the cross and the reasons for the "suffering and sacrifice of the Savior." What good is valuing the cross? This sermon will show how valuing the Savior on the cross produces greater love for Christ, dependence on his mercy, and gratitude for grace in our hearts.
