Sometimes we hear a patient’s story, but did we really listen? We all lead busy lives, and busy departments, but a value of what I am sure many of you can relate to, that I believe is the most fundamental attribute within healthcare is humanity. As clinicians we put the care into healthcare, and patient centered care is of utmost importance as we see people in their most vulnerable state. Caring for our patients goes beyond being professional button pushers and encompasses a wide range of interpersonal skills.
