Throwing away "PCOS rule book"

Sharing an update on my personal PCOS journey to hopefully help anyone who has been or could potentially be diagnosed with this hormone and metabolic condition. 

What works:

  • Patience- this didn't just "happen" overnight, and you won't heal it overnight
  • Consistency
  • Finding support- Personally, I found that support in the form of a COACH was a hugely benefical for me.
  • Managing stress- This is actually number 1.
  • What doesn't work:

    • Cutting out entire food groups- This is not sustainable and it's going to make you miserable
    • Taking advice you hear on Instagram and Tiktok- Everyone is different and what works for some might not work for you.
    • Thinking you can handle this completely on your own- Sis, we believe you. But please get a coach or nutritionist to help!
    • Blaming your condition for everything, but at the same time....
    • Denying that this is your reality
    • Whether you're suffering from PCOS or any other hormone-related condition, I hope that sharing my story can help you to know you're not alone and that it's ok to feel like you don't have it all figured out.
