This episode explores the idea of 'throwing in the towel' - your coach in the corner has the ability at any stage of the fight to throw in the towel. You don't actually see the towel come flying in over the ropes that often. I have used this metaphor to downplay what it is like to be in the ring - when you are only ever seconds away from success or disaster.
