In this episode, I talk about two TV shows that I watched around the same time in my life but they had very different effects on my life and perception of the world around me. Queer as Folk gave me characters and stories to attach and speak through my own sexual identity and Six Feet Under help me talk about difficult things such as death and the hardships around it. They both brought to life stories that will forever have an impact on my life and artistic output.

How big, how blue, how beautiful is Florence and the machines third studio album and was also dubbed as a rock album. Prior Florence was mostly known for her indie style of utilizing instruments like harps, guitars, and bells. this is the first album of her's to introduce an electric guitar and a rock tone. It was even nominated for a Grammy for best rock album. Florence Welch is one of the best lyricists of our generation and overall best musician but again that is my opinion and I wanted to share this amazing album with you which also has a visual component on YouTube that is an hour long if you care to take a gander. I really hope the sentiments that she uses in this album help us in the difficult times that we are currently in. Charlie the Unicorn was pivotal to my prepubescent development and overall internet eduction in how something can become a surprise hit amongst so many and how those times of virality on YouTube aren't really reflected on the platform today. But this was uploaded in 2005 by the hilarious Jason Steele who went on to produce and animate many, many internet web shorts on YouTube including a number of sequels to Charlie the Unicorn. In this episode, I throw it back to the start of the Disney Animated Film Renaissance. The Little Mermaid was released on November 13, 1989, and was responsible for reviving the almost lost animation division at Disney. I discuss how I felt about the film and what I want to explore further with these films.
Synopsis: 16-year-old mermaid Ariel (Jodi Benson) is fascinated with life on land. On one of her visits to the surface, which is forbidden by her controlling father, King Triton, she falls for a human prince. Determined to be with her new love, Ariel makes a dangerous deal with the sea witch Ursula (Pat Carroll) to become human for three days. But when plans go awry for the star-crossed lovers, the king must make the ultimate sacrifice for his daughter.
