Next up in our Around The World Series is a superb deep, melodic house, tech trance mix by the brilliant E.F.G. from Poland.

E.F.G. also known as Oleg Szyszkin was born in June 1988 in Gdynia, Poland. His journey with electronic music started in the late 90s, tunes of such as Prodigy or Fatboy Slim played significant role. Journey turned into passion in year 2005, when he discovered trance music (especially quite popular these days tech trance).

Few years later, Oleg hungered for some new genre. Remedy was the Sfinks club of Sopot, where he learned how to sense the depth and width of groovy deep basses and techno blips. Mixture of this “two world” is what define E.F.G. style these days. So far E.F.G. co-operated with several internet radio-stations such as Proton Radio, Insomnia.fm or Houseradio.

Since March 2013 he is a host of show called “E.F.G. Sound”, aired monthly on Proton Radio. E.F.G. is a music producer as well. At the moment he is a part of Electronic Tree Crew. He worked with Particles, Electronic Tree, OLD SQL, Bonzai, Massive Harmony, Clinique, Future Synth Records, Passion Fruit Recordings, Levitate Records, Dirty Stuff Records, UDTK Records, System Records and Magnetide Records.

His music gained support from such as Hernan Cattaneo, John Digweed, Dousk, Markus Schulz, Lemon8, James Warren, Aeron Aether, Martin Etchegaray or Retroid.

Next up in our Around The World Series is a superb house mix by the highly acclaimed DJ Mista Nige from Australia.

Mista Nige started DJ’ing in his home town of London in 1988, after hitting play on his first set he never looked back, playing numerous clubs, raves and parties across the south east of England. His musical journey took him across Europe to Singapore then on to Dubai and Abu Dhabi before finding his way to Australia. Despite being down under Nige still regularly plays on UK radio as well as clubbing his way up and down the East Coast of Oz. Mista Nige is a long time House head and embraces the old with the new in every set.

It has been a real pleasure to get Mista Nige to put together this brilliant mix for us and a great addition to our Around The World Series.

Next up in our Around The World Series is a simply breathtaking deep, melodic, disco house mix by Denmark’s finest; Kornum & Karma.

Since their first release in 2014 the Danish duo, who describe themselves as a deep and disco duo, has already made a name for themselves with many releases on some acknowledged labels like King Street, Sleazy Deep, Spacedisco, Good For You Records, Lisztomania and many more as well as multiple chart topping tracks on Traxsource.

Behind the name Kornum & Karma you find the two friends Kim and David who joined forces in the studio for fun and started out making disco edits for their own DJ-sets. This quickly grew into more original material and the beginning of more than 70 tracks in 5 years ranging from everything between David’s passion of disco to Kim’s passion for deep house. The many musical directions is probably the key to what makes this duo and their tracks interesting combining the best of all-things-house.

This mix doesn’t only showcase a lot of the old, new and unreleased deeper stuff from the duo, but it is also an acknowledgment to many of the fellow talented Danes within the deep and house genres like B from E, Christian Nielsen, Desos, Dorsi Plantar, Jesper Ryom, Niles Cooper, Paxton Fettel, Rasmus Vels, and more!

Number 4 in our Around The World Series comes from young German prodigy Alec K who delivers a stunning deep melodic house mix.

Born and raised in Bonn, Germany. Alec always enjoyed listening to electronic music. During the end of his school days he listened to many different DJ’s and after having contact with some and seeing the energy they created on the dance-floor, he started the DJ path.

With over one year of experience and managing the basics, he had his first gig under his belt, playing at a university campus. Alec has delivered guest mixes for a Croatian Beach Club and also for Influx Radio.

He enjoys warm-up sets and in particular the thrill of being able to build a set from nothing and to captivate an expectant audience.

Alec specialises in deep house, he strives to create a feel good vibe with an amazing atmosphere, but he also can blend seamlessly into other genres such as house, tech-house, funky house and into peak-time melodic progressive house.

Hopefully, 2020 will be the launchpad for Alec into more bookings and gigs in Germany and beyond.

Next on turntable duties for our Around The World Series is the highly talented DJ Ophbeet from Brooklyn, New York City in the USA.

“Master architect of deep, infectious house vibes and a euphoric atmosphere.”

That’s how Mitch Gueran describes himself as a DJ. When he performs as DJ OPHBEET, his main goal is to tap in to the emotion of the crowd and elevate the audience to new heights. Mitch’s ability to seamlessly blend his way through a myriad of house styles ensure he achieves this goal.

Brooklyn born and raised, Mitch hails from the tight knit neighborhood of Sunset Park. He began his DJ career in the late eighties, during the height of the house music craze occurring in New York City. He learned his craft from one of the “Masters at Work”, Kenny “Dope” Gonzalez at the world famous “Music Center” record shop.

Mitch has performed at various long running residencies since those early days and continues to move audiences on his weekly global radio show “The OPH Hour Sessions”.

When DJ Joma approached me to represent the United States for his “Around the World Series” I was honoured. When told it should be in my style and representative of who I am as a DJ, I was pumped!

I am fortunate to have begun my career in the late 80’s, early 90’s. I had access to so many ground breaking tracks. And of course all on vinyl or acetates.

Hearing the evolution of House Music throughout the last 30 years it’s easy to see that the more things change, the more things stay the same. My selections for the next 90 minutes illustrates this point. You will find your self hearing the past weave itself through these modern tracks by today’s producers.

Next up in our Around The World Series is a mix from DJ Joma from Ireland.

“Curator of deep, infectious uplifting dance grooves and a feel-good atmosphere.”

That’s how DJ Joma describes himself as a DJ. Never afraid to go too deep, his emotive musical selections are his own therapy. Having grown up on his parents’ eclectic combination of disco music (Shep Pettibone, Luther Vandross, Donna Summer, Chic), European electronica (Kraftwerk, Tangerine Dream), synth-infused 80s music (Depeche Mode, New Order, Pet Shop Boys)… all which became infused with his own love for house music, he ended up with quite a mixed spectrum of musical influence.

Today, after playing for 25 years, this translates into sets where he picks apart and infuses together all the pieces of this music that he loves best: beautiful synth work, ethereal backdrops, brooding basslines, and occasional vocal hooks… all on top of a pronounced foot-shuffling house beat.

He is renowned for his storytelling sets and his carefully crafted, elegant sound, he never fails to submerse his listeners in a beautifully progressive, melodic deep-house trance. Built on years of experience and respected for staying true to his sound, he has managed to create a musical-realm of his own. His soundtracks are filled with exquisite melodies and harmonising vocals, equally suited to night time clubbing as they are for sunrise or sunset sets.

A very active member of his local dance music community, he is no stranger to the ups-and-downs of the dance music scene. Though he loves playing in nightclubs, beach clubs, boat parties and special events, his love for music goes beyond the spectrum of mixing tunes. As event manager and promoter, he has found plenty of ways to express himself musically. He has taken his sound and events from the UK to Eastern Europe and Croatia & Montenegro in particular, where he aspires to make every experience better than the last, through passion and purpose.
