Fervor for a cause doesn’t make it true or good. There have been many examples of this through the centuries. Many of the Jews who lived during Jesus’ earthly ministry were very loyal to their faith. But, as Pastor Ron will clarify in today’s message, their faith was misplaced. They were trusting in their own ability to follow the laws of God, instead of trusting in the promises God had made to them. Their hearts were closed off and hardened and they completely missed the Messiah they longed for.
