Do you know someone who claims to have done something, but you can tell by their actions that they haven’t? Someone may claim to have studied under an expert painter, but their painting shows if they did they didn’t learn anything. As Pastor Bill points out, many people claim to follow Jesus without any real evidence of change. It’s one thing to acknowledge Jesus as Lord, and another to actually fall under His lordship. It’s very dangerous to claim to have Jesus as lord and continue to do whatever you want.
