Neil talks about the Principle of the Path which says that it is direction, not intention, that determines destination. He talks about how every path leads somewhere and we need to choose the path that lines up with the future that we want. He shares the importance of surrounding ourselves with people who will help us to find and stay on this path.

 

The topic of the night was God's grace moving in and transforming our lives. Two current seniors, Diego and Jenna, as well as two alumni, Monique and Kevin, share their stories of how God's grace moved and is moving in their lives.

 

Bevan walks through how worship is described in Revelations. He shares how it centers, gathers, reveals, and sings.

 

Neil talks about how to gain ground in your relationship with God while being home over the Christmas break. He shares four areas to focus on: having a sane estimation of yourself, staying in touch with Jesus, watching your words, and serving.

Robbie begins taking us through the book of Jeremiah and the insights that we can apply to our own lives from it. He talks about five thoughts on how to discern God's purpose for your life: move toward God, make disciples, look at your past, look at the passions you're given by God, and focus your vision on God.

 

Robbie continues in Jeremiah and expands on the thought that external religious activity not born from an internal love for God will not last. He talks about our need to work on our heart and gives two ways to do this: regular confession and repentance and being intentional with our worship.

 

Robbie looks into where Jeremiah drew his hope in the midst of turmoil and persecution, even from others in the church. He speaks to the truth that nobody is beyond the reach of God. God gives understanding, intimacy, and liberty. He talks about how God is pursuing us, how He gives us a new heart, and gives us freedom from guilt and shame.

 

Robbie finishes the weekend looking into what it is that held Jeremiah. He shows that Jeremiah came to God in his hurting, his doubts, and his struggles. Jeremiah fought for a heart for God by leaning into the presence of God. Robbie talks about how God is the most real thing today and how we can lean into that truth.

Neil talks about how the Bible is the key to our faith. He shares how it brings understanding to our faith and also walks through the validity of the New Testament.
