Regarded as one of the best point guards of all time, today we welcome former WNBA player Ticha Penicheiro. Joining us from Miami, Ticha talks about her journey in professional basketball which began in Portugal and led her to the US where she has now made her home. 

Playing from a young age, Ticha talks about what it took to make her dream come true, from playing in the WNBA, winning the championship with the Sacramento Monarchs and being a Nike Athlete to her induction into the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame in 2019 and her current role as Director of Women's Basketball at SIG.

As a young girl her heroes were Michael Jordan and Magic Johnson. Today she is thrilled that there are so many female athletes for young girls to look up to and she talks about what it’s like to be one of those heroes. 

We talk about the growth of the WNBA, how professional athletes use their platform to promote important issues, her thoughts on the future of the WNBA, the impact of Kobe Bryant, and some never before told stories.
