Despite our lifelong tendency to constantly try to assert our “rule” in our life over God’s rule, through Jesus we have been accepted

Matthew 1:18-25

In Jesus as “Emmanuel” we have a very different definition of love; this is love that sets everything aside, and is willing to sacrifice everything for others.

No matter how bleak our circumstances in life, the birth of Jesus is a reminder that God’s plans for us are bigger than we could ever imagine.

Isaiah 9:2-7

We are called to live as children of light, therefore we should focus on living in the light rather than simply avoiding the darkness.

Ephesians 6:10-20

The armor that we need to “put on” is spiritual armor from our God who has already won the war, but knows that in the meantime we fight ongoing battles and skirmishes against lingering spiritual resistance.

2 Corinthians 5:14-21

- Who are we?

- How do we see others?

- What is our relationship to the culture around us?

- What is the heart of our message?

- How do we fulfill the calling God has given us?

Ephesians 5:21 - 6:9

A Holy Spirit filled Christian household is one that is marked with mutual submission to one another just as Jesus willingly submitted to the cross for us.
